General Questions

Motion is an immersive experience. At the Imagination Experience, you step into a world of digital light art and imagination. Walk in the clouds, set space in motion and get lost in your own kaleidoscope. Expect an adventure full of imaginative art and, above all, a lot of fun.

Motion is the institution behind the Imagination Experience. Motion’s first developed experience is called the Imagination Experience

Look for our current business hours in the footer of our website. During school vacations (south region) we are open every day. Please note that we currently allow a maximum of 30 visitors per half hour. Reserve your ticket and time preference online to ensure entry.

Motion is located in downtown Eindhoven on the second floor of the Piazza. From the station, it is only a few minutes’ walk.

Because of its convenient location, visiting Motion by both car and public transportation is heartbreakingly easy! Eindhoven Station and the central bus station are less than a five-minute walk away. If you come by car, it is best to park in the Mathildelaan parking garage. If you park at the top, the walkway will take you directly to Motion.

This varies from person to person, but on average, a visit to the Imagination Experience takes an hour to an hour and a half. There is also an opportunity to enjoy a drink at the Colorbar during the Experience.

At the Imagination Experience, you decide entirely what your adventure looks like! Walk through the space, stand still as long as you like or take a seat somewhere at your leisure. Motion encourages everyone to play their own leading role in this imaginative world of light art.

The Imagination Experience is designed for everyone! Visitors of all ages are therefore welcome. Please note that children up to 12 years old must be accompanied by at least 1 adult to enter the Experience.

Yes indeed, gladly even! Take as many photos and videos as you want. Above all, don’t forget to share them! Use the hashtag #motionexperience.

Ticket Questions

Motion tickets are not personalized. Thus, these may safely be transferred to third parties.

Motion allows a maximum of 30 new visitors per half hour due to current security measures. Therefore, to ensure safety, it is important that you start your visit within 30 minutes. If you are later or a lot earlier, we can see if there is still room. If not, it will be a wait and see until there is room again.

No, currently tickets can only be purchased through the website.

Note: Already at Motion and don’t have tickets? If spots are still available, we will be happy to help you reserve a ticket directly (online). That way you can still gain access.

If you cannot buy tickets online for a certain day or time, this may be due to:

  • There is no more availability at a certain time. Often there is still availability at a different hour

  • It could also be that there are no Regular or Kids Time tickets available for the day and time you selected. For example, on Wednesday afternoons only Kids Time tickets are available, as Wednesday afternoons are standard Kids Time. If you want to attend Kids Time as an adult, you must buy Kids Time tickets. This also applies vice versa: if you want to buy child tickets outside of Kids Time, choose Regular tickets.

Kids Time & parties

Motion Experience is an experience for all ages, but during Kids Time, it’s just a little more fun for kids up to 12 years old. Our light art world may consist of flying unicorns or dancing dinosaurs. In addition, the Imagination Experience has been transformed into an activity plaza that will make children’s hearts beat faster. In short, plenty to do & move around during Kids Time. Highly recommended for an outing with children!

Kids Time takes place every Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm.

Children up to 12 years old may enter only when accompanied by an adult. Max. 5 children per 1 adult.
